Alemania!
How are you at home?
here where all clear;)
finally gives way prolonged abstinence even a small trip report.
As you are so you know before Christmas, my parents came to Valparaiso to visit me and have a bit to travel. Of course we looked at Valpo and environs and extensively celebrated with all the people from the house where the Christmas and New Year's Eve fireworks, of course, was a real highlight. The largest in Latin America and it is said one of the most beautiful in the world. It's really indescribable. The great thing that you, of course, almost always the fireworks Valparaiso which is fired in the port can see.
After Christmas, we then rented a car and drove along a little bit north to the Valle del Elqui. From there, we have tortured the pickup changes over the highest pass between Argentina and Chile. This was already the mother of a really adventurous journey! But at 4,780 m, it was really something unwirttlich.
So we are there to Argentina and have a little wine and steak are sampled and then for Neujahrt back to Valpo.
Then right at 1:01 in the plane and into the Süüüüden. There we have
explored the lake area. Were in Puerto Varas and have visited all the German villages near the lake. Here, some people speak German and are everywhere and the restaurants and coffee cakes have German names. The reason is that emigrated in 1900 many German here are to colonize the region and to manage, because the Chileans do not have the hammer out.
Since we were still in 2 national parks and hiked. The first time the attempt was foiled by a horse fly plague, and we unfortunately had to turn back. It was unbearable! The second time we arrived much further, although the break in the lake, the mother with a sharp new Swiss army knife for half abgesäbelt thumb back and we had to go to hospital to nääähen!
am I also, of course, risen to the volcano Villarica. That was really really cool. The volcano is not really active. The last time he broke out in 1971 really and it is currently waiting for the next major outbreak. Lava can be seen for 2 years in the crater, unfortunately, no longer has to run out from somewhere to the side.
These were now the 3 weeks vacation in Chile in high speed. We then adopted at the airport in Temuco and my parents returned to Santiago and in the cold!
I did but then decided to escape the heat slightly and continue to have flown to Punta Arenas. Wooo that you also know exactly what for now is and where all the goals are there, we have driven it right this South America map with an itinerary and the places. So just click, then you can also better assess wieeee far it all away ist.
Beeindruckend!
Also, I am still the "Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre" driven. All those are nothing says: They are two very well known among mountain climbers mountain, and they are among the most difficult climbable mountains in the world. The Mount Everest, because more easily! be. So the Fitz Roy can climb not only to look at but he is also quite nice, because sometimes when he comes out from the clouds. I sat defeated 5 h before and waited ..... but he just did not quite. Only when he has been relegated then seen briefly;) but is an interesting 3000 m high spire.
To escape the cold I then boarded a plane. At 0 ° ... 40 ° purely out .... uii was disgustingly humid in Buenos Aires. Yes, so I decided a little the great Argentine capital, viewed, which has actually already offer some nice spots. Sorry, but a lot a lot of people, lots of traffic, noise and dirt. That was really a real contrast to the Patagonian loneliness. to complete
To South America trip I have taken more then a 20-hour bus ride from first Buenos Aires to Iguazu on me. Iguazu that are the big, beautiful waterfalls of the Rio Iguazu on the border between Argentina and Brazil. I therefore went to the falls and I've watched the spectacle. And I'm also entered Ilegal to Brazil, because the Bus driver just would not stop .... In Brazil there is still the Itaipu dam. The still largest in the world. Here is produced by a rieeeßen Reservoir, a 170m high dam and 18 turbines, 14,000 MW of energy. That is, a turbine can power a city of 2.5 million people with electricity. For comparison, a German nuclear power plant makes about 1,200 MW. That means, if the hydroelectric plant makes as much electricity as 13 nuclear power plants! Is a huge huge part, I can tell you. To end
Soooo and around the tour you must also re-Chilean back home. After I then verbacht so 40 hours in a battered bus (yes, from Valparaiso Iguazu It is quite realize how much I had), I arrived the day before yesterday a little bit tired in Valpo. Well, you must not overdo it. Sun was not him bad. Or have you schonmal Champaner, whiskey and wine will be served in a bus?
go Yes, and also a long journey must come to an end. So I am still recovering this week in Valparaiso to me and then it is also already at home. Next Wednesday I will enter again on German soil.
again I've uploaded some new pictures from the trip. There are not too many though. There is much more to see. But do you have to visit me then just when I'm back. I like to show it;)
Greetings from Valparaiso Nos vemos
