I still had no time to talk about the last weekend.
Since Friday was public holiday, we were forced to do something.
We have therefore decided summarily in the "Cajón del Maipo" to drive.

Da die Uni jetzt ja angefangen hat, wollt ich euch von der Uni berichten.
Die Uni an der ich bin heißt "Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria" und ist im Bereich Ingenieurwesen die beste des Landes und eine der besten in Lateinamerika.
Gegründet wurde die Uni von dem Herrn Santa Maria. Dieser hat zu Beginn hier nur deutsche Professoren hergeholt. Deshalb hat die Uni auch heute noch gute Verbindungen nach Deutschland and there are one or the other German Prof. or speak the German.

The university has on its site, in fact everything for free. 2 sports halls, 2 football fields, tennis court, squash court, fitness center and swimming pool. The buildings have a kind of English style. The facilities I can not say as much. But probably the same as at home. The lesson here but it is different than in Stuttgart. I would say it is like at a University. It has always any homework, Presentations or diplomas. Therefore there are no big test at the end, but everything that makes it is at the end of the note. I think that can definitely end up in stress; (

So I hope I could convey an impression of the university entirely sure I know everything is not yet Administrative chaos, it also .... but at least I am.. Stuttgart from well used;)

Urlaub nebenher... zweites Weekend



Last weekend we were working long Fridays & Marika (my Mitpraktikanntin had b -day), so we were at home, at first. But then we are at night went to the lion's head, simply look at the general (at night-better go out there-not--especially-not-to-places-without-many-people) rules are not heard and were then at Signal Hill in the moonlight (is just under the lion head at about 350m height) and have looked over Capetwon: Hammer!

Urlaub nebenher... erstes Weekend



weekends are simply the hottest days of the week. The hammer that I could take all schons.

Samstag sind wir dann Richtung Hermannus gefahren, weil zur Zeit vor der SA-Küste Waale sind, die sich paaren, und hier futtern. Schon allein der Weg dorthin war Hammer! Küstenstraße ewig lang, Hammer große Wellen in immer gleichen Abständen, Sonne, ...einfach Urlaubu. Die Waale an sich waren leider echt weit weg, aber haben Hammer Fotos from the rocks, waves, the sea, all made easy: Hammer!

Mittwoch war super kalt, Donnerstag war super heiß: haben geschuftet und hier seht ihr unser Werk:

Die Gärten sind in den Townhips und wir fahren mit unserm Käfer dahin. Haben schon verschiedenste Wege gefunden, weil einfach keine Straßennamen existieren, vieles gleich aussieht und dann man doch einfach mal rechts abbiegt wo's would have to go straight on, ha! But have always arrived:)

Die Minibustaxis sind die schlimmsten: waehrend man seelenruhig schoen vor sich hintuckert ziehen die raus, fahren auf der gleichen Spur an einem links vorbei und auch rechts und denken Ihnen gehoert einfach die ganze Starsse. Aber ich bin ja au kein Fahranfaenger und lass mich meist nicht von denen abhaengen. Wenn man nun auf ner zweispurigen Straße fährt, hat man die Wahl immer anzuhalten und scharf zu bremsen weil die Minibustaxis einach anhalten, plötzlich rückwärts fahren, um noch'n Fahrgast einzupacken, oder sonstwas veranstalten. --> linke Spur is also für'n A. right lane, but is not better because the whole time which then turn right, wait for oncoming traffic to and you stand behind them and will not come over on the left lane, Ha! -> Right track au für'n Popo. So I drive more in the middle:) if it is otherwise simple and fast, so fast that I can switch left & right. to drive

Krass how cold it can be in his room, owbohl's not so cold out there is: was loose immer'n Temp difference of 5Grad, if not more:)

Everything is fenced, closed, boarded up and grids versehen: um rauszukommen aus nem Haus muss man sich erstmal aufschliessen lassen von einem der Bewohner: bei usnerm teilweise auch, aber zur "Einbruchsicherheit" siehe weiter oben meinen Eintrag "Wohnen in CapeTown".
