As a PC guy hired to refresh databases, link them to maps and to create visualizations, as now newsletter writer asked yet ackernd on the field I find myself at Abalimi Bezekhaya (http://www.abalimi.org.za/) again.
There are grad staff breaks, holidays and ... (Oh how I know such situations because even ...?) and so we are used in places that we should see only a short time.
My office is located in Philippi, a township east of Cape Town (and for all planners "links" von Mitchell's Plain) (gehört aber halt mit zu Kapstadt)) und ich arbeite in Khayelitscha, Philippi, Nyanga und Guguletu. Es gibt dort Menschen die Gärten betreiben, privat oder in der Gruppe, und die Hilfe brauchen beim ernten, säen und umgraben :) Hab schon einiges gelernt wie man was anpflanzt und so arrangiert, dass es schnell wächst. Mittwoch war super kalt, Donnerstag war super heiß: haben geschuftet und hier seht ihr unser Werk:
Die Gärten sind in den Townhips und wir fahren mit unserm Käfer dahin. Haben schon verschiedenste Wege gefunden, weil einfach keine Straßennamen existieren, vieles gleich aussieht und dann man doch einfach mal rechts abbiegt wo's would have to go straight on, ha! But have always arrived:) I hope you realize at the time Beiene Pics of what we have done in 3 hours there.
A hammer was for me so far but: Popeye! I did not know that this cartoon character was developed in the 30s of the spinach industry and released large was to increase sales. Well, what you do not learn anything in Africa. We have now ordered for our household a box of vegetables per week for about 8 €, which comes fresh from the field on Tuesday and is then washed (well last time from us, and maybe in the future) and is then distributed.
Distribution was awesome, because that happens in schools, was there and had seen Victoria Beckham in the series blends for their BMW and Lexus and Mercedes-X3ern and ... pure lead, took their kids and some of us were packing box ne. Stark contrast here when I look out my window and see people, offer the carts go where you think that the 10km will not be far away.
use the tools that we see is usually not as pronounced as scrap from the wheelbarrow here, but Well: use just still it goes. (That is cool that we have as 8 wheelbarrows, but work only 3, for the other 5 (are new) and have tubes in the tires and they are all flat.)
